Samung Galaxy S5 launched nationwide

So the Samsung Galaxy S5 has gone on general sale across the UK eleven months after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

In under a year what additional and innovative features could possibly be added to the Samsung Galaxy S5, to justify its £579.99 price tag or having to commit to a £47 per month contract to get this phone FREE.

New Features

Although lacking the performance of Nokia Lumia models in terms of camera quality, the Samsung Galaxy S5 boasts a 16MP camera with and lighting fast autofocus meaning you can easily capture those unexpected moments.

If you are on a 4G tariff, The Samsung Galaxy S5 now enables you to combine your 4G with WiFi for ultrafast download speeds.

There is also an ultra-power saving mode should your phone be running out of juice with no access to a charger when out and about.

Like the Apple iPhone 5s the Samsung Galaxy S5 now features finger print recognition that also enables you to make transactions through PayPal. This is an impressive little feature once you are used to how to activate the finger print recognition system. Who knows what the future might bring with the capabilities of finger pint recognition but for the mean time is this more of a luxury than a necessity?

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is also dust and water resistant which is a bonus if you are considering taking your £579.99 plus smartphone into some rough environments or are just clumsy or careless. However in doing this, have Samsung compromised the easy access of charging the unit (daily chore) by placing a protective cover over the charging port which is a little fiddly to remove every time you wish to charge the phone.

Compared to the iPhone and HTC’s latest efforts the Samsung Galaxy S5 is still a plastic based build and the new perforated back designed for grip will not be to everyone’s taste.
